Role Summary
Design and commission industrial-grade solar power solutions for telecom tower sites and remote utility hubs. Responsible for sizing, solar panel array layout, hybrid inverter configuration, and battery bank setup.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Design hybrid solar-diesel-battery power solutions for remote telecom sites.
- Select and size solar PV modules, charge controllers, inverters, and battery banks (Lithium/Gel).
- Supervise physical installation and wiring of electrical and solar systems.
- Perform commissioning tests, charge/discharge cycle audits, and remote monitoring setup.
- Conduct maintenance audits on existing solar site configurations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- ERA (Electricity Regulatory Authority) installation permit (Class C or higher).
- 3+ years of experience designing and installing off-grid solar systems (>10kW).
- Strong knowledge of telecom power standards (-48V DC systems).
- Experience with solar sizing tools (PVsyst, Homer, etc.).
